It always seems sorta **magical** to me when a project comes together. When you really take a moment to think about it, crafting really does have a magical quality to it. We gather a whole buncha stuff, get our hands and fingers working like little Elves in Santa's workshop, weave in our imaginations and carefully with a little sprinkle of love, we create something - usually for someone else - that is made from our hearts to share. The creative process brings me so much happiness, peace and stress release. I hope that for all of you, creativity brings all of those things and more.
Ok so...We are ALL busy...But PLEASE find the time for YOURSELF to be creative, it will feel like a breathe of fresh air!!
Anywho...Are you curious about what I was able to create using all this stuff?? I **KNEW** it!!
Check it out and let me know what you think...magical or not?? **YOU** decide :)
These cards were *inspired* by a fellow SU! Demonstrator.
Remember the links below are live so check out the SU! cattys along the way!!
I LOVE this color combo!! So sweet and peaceful stamped the stamp sets from Snowflakes and from Snow Flurries in the 2006 Holiday Mini Catalog. I admit it!! I am a Alphabet Addict!! I try to use Alphabets stamps whenever I can and try to use them in unexpected ways to add in a little more fun!! Like here where I used the large *W* from the Letter Press Alphabet Stamp Set. This technique is called blocking or ommiting. On the tall card, notice how I replaced the small *W* on the stamp with the larger Letter Press *W*. The Regal Rose Stampin' Write marker helped out with the blocking task, along with a good cleaning of the stamp using the Stampin' Mist & Stampin' Scrub Pad. Cleaning you stamps in between is KEY to this technique. I PERFECTLY placed all the words by using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig would be next to impossible to do without this must have tool.
Inks & Cardstocks: Cool Caribbean Classic Ink & Cardstock found in the *In Color* limited edition 2006/2007 color family. Regal Rose Classic Ink & Cardstock in the Rich Regals Color Family.
Paper Only: Whisper White Card Stock was used for the top layers.
Ink Only: Certainly Celery Classic Ink in the Soft Subtles Color Family
Accessories: Large Open End Whisper White Envelope for the tall card and Clear Envy for the standard sized card. Pierced the paper Regal Rose borders using the Paper Piercer & Mat Pack in the Crafters Tool Kit . The Uni-Ball ® Signo Gel Pen in white was used to outline the pierced holes for a snowy effect. Celery & Rose Grosgrain Ribbon and Silver Cording were used to tie the Aluminum Metal Rimmed Circle Tags were stamped with Versamark and embossed with Sterling Silver Embossing powder and the SU! Heat Tool. If youhave not yet purchased the SU! Powder Pals, add them to your Wish List..thay are a MUST HAVE!! The Faux Diamond technique was created using Heat & Stick Powder, Dazzlin' Diamonds & the SU! Heat Tool. You can't see it, but I used 1 3/8 Cricle Punch to pop out a half circle on the flap of the Large Envy to add some interest. I also stamp a cute snowflake in the punched out area. SNAIL is ALWAYS my adhesive of choice!!
Almost done!! I want to take a second to let you know about two SU! tools that I have just found AMAZING and you NEED to add to your WISH List. You all know I NEVER steer you wrong!! I highly recommend the New SU! Table Top Cutter It is absolutely fabulous!! I have used it every single day since I received it!! I have no idea how I ever lived without it!!
